Something built to last

1999 was a year that would change the London skyline forever, with the 'Millennium Wheel' erected on the South Bank of the Thames. We celebrated with the launch of our third Vintage Ale – and just like the London Eye, it's still every bit as enjoyable today.

Champion ingredients

In keeping with tradition, our 1999 Vintage Ale combined the year's finest hops and malt – namely the Champion Fuggles hop and Champion Optic malt. Like all our vintages, it's a bottle-conditioned beer that develops deeper flavour over time.

Brewer's notes

With a redder hue than previous vintages, the 1999 Vintage Ale is a full-bodied brew with a rich, sherry-like flavour.

Food pairing

The ultimate beer for a decadent dessert.

Golen amber in colour with aromas and flavours of nuts, toffee, caramel and fruit (particularly orange). Its full body will match the dense texture of the pudding with the beers' sweetness complementing the toffee and the overall sweetness in the dessert.
