First past the post

In a year that saw Britain struggle to reach consensus in the General Election, our 14th Vintage Ale launched to unanimous approval – a coalition of hops and malt bringing perfect balance to the beer.

Always evolving

The live yeast in our Vintage Ales means they continue to mature long past their 'best before' date. As the years go by, the beer develops new characteristics and great depth of flavour.

Brewer's notes

An initial fruit aroma with hints of pear and orange gives way to floral notes and a clean, full, almost liquored initial palate. The finish is dark orange, satisfying with alcohol warmth.

Food pairing

The ultimate beer for a decadent dessert.

Golen amber in colour with aromas and flavours of nuts, toffee, caramel and fruit (particularly orange). Its full body will match the dense texture of the pudding with the beers' sweetness complementing the toffee and the overall sweetness in the dessert.
